Sung entirely in Polish, “Lawa” captures what they think is the essence of the Polish spirit: a boiling mixture of insane passion, belief in the supernatural, death worship and dwelling on the past. Drawing some inspiration from both the famous poetic drama “Dziady” ("Forefathers' Eve") by Adam Mickiewicz and its psychedelic movie rendition “Lawa” (1989) by Tadeusz Konwicki, the new work of IN TWILIGHT’S EMBRACE is the proof that romantic traditions are still the cornerstone of Poland’s DNA and cultural paradigm. For better or worse. Or bitter, if you will.

Zbawienie przyjdzie przez krew
Ogromna to tajemnica
We krwi zbawienie niesiemy
Krwią świat zmyjemy
Ta krew w nas się sączy i wsiąka jak nafta
A duch ciężki i gęsty
Pali się łatwo
Zbawienie przyjdzie przez krew
Ogromna to tajemnica…
Odkąd byliśmy
Wiatr ciosał nam twarze
Czyn straszny i wielki głowy zaprzątał
Obłęd serca zapalał
I na zatracenie wodził
A bóg milczał
We krwi naszej żyje Moloch
Co chce byśmy w ogniu stawali
I gdy tak żywcem płoniemy
Kolejnych ofiar woła
Bo we krwi naszej żyje Moloch
Co chce byśmy w ogniu stawali
I kiedy żywcem płoniemy
Kolejnych ofiar chce
I tylko krwią zbryzgani
Sobą się stajemy
Wołamy więc:
Kto upuści z nas krew?
Wołamy więc:
Kto upuści znów krew?
Kto upuści z nas krew?
Kto upuści krew?
From the production to the performances, Czasy is as daunting as it gets.

Remnants Of A Bewildered Ache compile les quatre démos qui succéderont à Thunder Vigil And Ecstasy. Jordan Vauvert
One of the best metal albums I've heard this decade. Has a mournful, one of a kind atmosphere that has yet to be replicated by just about any other band. 10/10 honeycombguy
